Tom is a Co-Founder of Freestate Advisors, a Wealth Advisor, and author of Transformational Investing published by Advantage Media Group | Forbes Books. Twenty years ago, after spending the first half of his career in management consulting and business leadership, he turned his attention to personal investing. Along with his Co-Founder, Brett Conley, they began evaluating the opportunities for improving the standard approach advocated by the investment advice industry, an approach largely unchanged since the 1960s. Their research was so successful it led them to create the SmartRisk Investment Process™ and make their strategies available to individual and institutional investors. Tom received an MBA in Finance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s Bloch School of Management and holds Series 65 Investment Advisor securities registration.
